I presume you mean the source listings. Those were listings output
from the compilers and assemblers, not source. Source could often
be reconstructed from them, but not always and not always completely.

There was a source code distribution for those with deep pockets and
a real "need". Those were (afaik) produced on demand, and the last ones
that I heard of were done in the V5 timeframe. Even those missed off
some
sources that were supplied in object format only (again, I never had
such a kit, so I'm only going by what I was told ... )

I presume you meant "I'll see if the listings provide a useful source
for the spec I'm going to write so that someone else can produce
the actual code and that way I'll not pollute linux with tainted code"
